Running Times

With Insanity in my rear view I decided to concentrate more on running this week and see how my times are now that I’ve taken a break from two-a-days. Yeah I know I said I was going to continue a modified Insanity program but this wasn’t the week to do so and I plan on doing the second half of Insanity Round 2 next week. With that being said I’ve come out of the gates flying, in fact I believe these are the fastest times I’ve ever posted since I started running, see below:
- Monday 6 miler 43 minutes, 7:10 pace
- Tuesday 4 miler 28:42, 7:10 pace
- Today 6 miler 42:30, 7:05 pace
- Tomorrow 4 miler, planning on a 8:00 pace (recovery)
- Friday 10 miler, 9:00 pace (long run)
I’m 100% positive that Insanity played a huge role in my times and I’m not as winded nor are my legs as fatigued during or following each run. Not only do I plan on running 5 days this week I also have incorporated circuit weight training back into my routine on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s in order to maintain my overall upper body frame.
Now what I originally had planned over the next 30 days was the following:
- Monday- run & Insanity
- Tuesday- run & circuit
- Wednesday- run & Insanity
- Thursday- run & circuit
- Friday- run & Insanity
- Saturday- off
- Sunday- Insanity
Here is what the remainder of my running schedule looks like up until the half marathon on May 2nd.
I’m going to try and stick to the schedule starting Monday but if not at the very least I’ll be running, on a side note I weighed in at 201 and I have my eyes set on being under 200 for the 1st time since I was a Junior in High School, now that’s INSANE!
